Hungarian Swimming Family Thanks Frontline Workers for Efforts During Pandemic

Last week during the Hungarian National trials held at Duna Aréna (main venue of the 17th FINA World Championships) the LED perimeter and the athletes’ entrance gate had some unusual content. It not only showcased key sponsors of the local Federation and the logo of the upcoming event – the LEN European Aquatic Championships – but also a note which translated to, “Thank you for your dedication on behalf of the Hungarian swimming society. We will win together as a team.”

Next to this message we rotated five pictograms on the backdrop showing a doctor, a nurse, a police/law enforcement officer, a soldier and that of a teacher. All those working tirelessly during the global COVID pandemic deserve this gesture and our full respect.

For all our sake we hope that very soon frontline workers have way less burden on their shoulders, kudos to their devotion.

Stay safe everyone and best wishes from Hungary!
