  • Collected five first-place finishes against Illinois State, Southern Illinois and Michigan State last weekend
  • Tallied two first-place finishes in 200-yard freestyle (1:52.41 and 1:52.30) and one in the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.34)
  • Contributed to two first-place results in the 400-yard freestyle relays that finished in 3:33.37 against Illinois State and Southern Illinois and in 3:27.76 against Michigan State
  • Garners her first career Swimmer of the Week award
  • Last Illinois Swimmer of the Week: Samantha Stratford (Oct. 28, 2015)

Diver of the Week

Taylor Shegos, Illinois

So. – Fenton, Mich. – Fenton Senior – Interdisciplinary Health Sciences

  • Recorded three NCAA Zone qualifying scores against Illinois State, Southern Illinois and Michigan State last weekend
  • Earned two first-place finishes with Zone qualifying scores on the 3-meter (284.30 and 311.70)
  • Finished first with a Zone qualifying score of 287.92 on the 1-meter of against Michigan State
  • Set a personal record with her 311.70 on the 3-meter
  • Earns her first career Diver of the Week award
  • Last Illinois Diver of the Week: Lauren Wismer (Oct. 13, 2009)

Freshman of the Week 

Mallory Jump, Purdue

St. Charles, Ill. – St. Charles North – Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences

  • Earned three first-place finishes at the Indiana Intercollegiate last weekend
  • Earned a pair of individual titles in the 100-yard butterfly (54.94) and 100-yard backstroke (55.92)
  • Swam the butterfly leg, contribute to a first-place result in the 200-yard medley relay (1:42.88)
  • Earns her first Freshman of the Week award
  • Last Purdue Freshman of the Week: Maizie Seidl (Feb. 14, 2018)
