A big Swimmers Circle congratulation goes out to Australian World Champion Geoff Huegill, who along with his new wife Sara Hills will be welcoming their first child. Huegill first made the announcement via his Twitter account.
Huegill made a very-public return to swimming after the Beijing Olympics following several years out of the international swimming spotlight. In 2010, he scored the Commonwealth Games gold medal in the 100 fly, and in his first global competition since returning he scored a bronze in the 50 fly at last month’s Shanghai World Championships.
Hills, 27, and Huegill, 32, were wed in a secret ceremony in May on the island of Bali after a two-plus year engagement.
Aw-cute.
