Community level international Olympic standard swimming pool jiski worth Rs 24.94 crore hai uska inauguration urban development minister Bairathi Suresh ne Yemmekere mei November 24 ko kiya.
Bairathi Suresh ne kaha, “Aaj yaha par ek international standard swimming pool ka inauguration kiya gaya hai. Ye Smart City project ka part hai jaha par state aur central government se equal fund mila hai. Unfortunately, yaha par Smart City works ke liye aaya money development works mei nahi spent kiya gaya jo ki public ko benefit karta. Assets ko Smart City funds se create karna padega, tourists ko Mangaluru mei attract karne ke liye funds nhi allocate kiya gaya hai.”
Speaker U T Khader ne kaha, “Is newly constructed swimming pool se public ko benefit hoga. Swimming pool ke alawa, kai saari facilities wale playground ke development ke liye bhi additional 2.5 crore allot kiye gaye hai.”
Dignitaries ne Karnataka Swimming Association ke associate karke three-day 19th National Masters Swimming Championship 2023, ka inauguration bhi kar diya.
Newly built swimming pool complex mein 50m length aur 25m width ka competition pool hoga aur iski varying depth use ki jayegi 25m length X 10 width X 2.2m depth ke training pool ki tarah. Children ko jaldi hi competitive swimming mein initiate karne ke view se, 13.8 length X 10 m width X 1.2 m depth ka ek kids pool bhi provide kiya gaya hai.
Is pool ka unique feature hai iski +7.0 m ka deck level jo ki basement mei cars aur bikes ki parking ko allow karta hai iske sath hi pool ke under bottom mei filtration unit.
Open to sky is swimming pool mein spectator ki seating capacity hai 400 people ki aur spectator ka opposite side swimmers, officials, trainers aur coaches ke liye designated hai. Higher level pool competition area aur spectator gallery tak access ke liye two separate elevators lage hai.
700 people ne 19th National Masters Swimming Championship 2023 ke liye already registered kar rakha hai aur 150 officials se bhi jyada is event mei part lene wale hai.
