Indiana Women Set New B1G Record in 400 Medley Relay

The Indiana women broke their own team and conference records in the 400 medley relay tonight, even with Lilly King going a bit slower than she did when they set the old record last year.

King, who set the World Record in the 100m breast at the 2017 World Championships this past summer, was probably not very rested for this meet, but she was still able to crank out a field-best 56.92 split.

Ali Rockett and Christine Jensen were exceptional, though– last year, Rockett was 52.58 leading off the relay, and Jensen wasn’t even fast enough to make the relay (she was 52.98 and 53.08 in prelims and finals of the individual 100 fly). This year, Rockett led off in 51.25, not far off of Brooklynn Snodgrass’s team record of 51.05, and Jensen split a 51.01 on the fly leg.

Freshman Grace Haskett was the anchor leg, splitting a 48.63 to finish off the relay for the Hoosiers.
