Indianapolis Prepares For US Swimming Olympic Trials: Social Media Edition

US Olympic Trials begin later this month in Indianapolis, Indiana. The city has been busy putting up numerous displays before the event. See its preparation that has been displayed on social media below.

Kate Douglass: Football Stadium edition

This airport has seen numerous transportations this year including a basketball court, decorating for the Indy 500, and now Trials.

Not a redesign but swimmers in the area (and from Illinois and the Gulf Coast LSC) are getting excited.

Does anybody know whether the prelims on Peacock will have ads regardless of whether you purchase Peacock Premium or Premium+?

Love the dinosaurs with the googles and medals. Good news, Mission Viejo qualifies international swimmers on Canada and Philippines teams to have qualify some swimmer for the Olympics since 1976.https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/south-oc-swimmers-divers-qualify-for-olympic-trials-good-news/ar-BB1n0I1d#:~:text=MISSION%20VIEJO%2C%20CA%20%E2%80%94%2028%20Mission%20Viejo%20swimmers,of%20qualifying%20through%20to%20the%202024%20Paris%20Olympics.

I have 2 tix for all sessions near mid-pool and cannot go. I’ve had trouble selling these online – anyone have any advice on how to get something for these? I am looking to sell them heavily discounted at this point since I cannot go at all 🙁

We’re going for Masters nats and the plan was to just buy tix day-of as we’re able. Having all sessions would be great and probably end up costing the same. Any idea how we can safely transact?

That’s where I got stuck trying to sell these on reddit a little while back. I tried stubhub as well but I am not good with these kinds of things. Are you comfortable letting me know your email or another way to contact you and we can talk specifics? Or maybe there is a way where mods can see our respective emails and put us in touch.

can someone who is familiar with tickets for the event explain why I shouldn’t just get a prelims ticket and a separate finals ticket for a single day? it’s much cheaper for the same sections so I don’t understand the benefit of purchasing the full day

Have there been any updates on ticket sales?

Gotta wonder if that large Kate Douglass banner on Lucas Oil Stadium will single-handedly manifest a Lilly King 2:19

WITH THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK,
USA Swimming can make the US Olympic Trials more watchable:

Use multicolor lane lines — 3 yellow ones in the center lanes (3-5), then blue, then green, etc.).

You’re welcome, Mr. Hinchey!

I’ll never understand why they don’t do this.

That would come out of Hinchey’s bonus.

Yes, and on TV with the new graphics/stats on he left side with the names and times, they could colour code so you can flip your eyes left and right at each turn…..

From the press releases today, the middle three lanes are white and blue and the rest are red and white so it will be easier to tell on TV.
