Irvine, California’s Maye Andarza Verbally Commits to Queens (NC)

Irvine, California’s Maye Andarza has verbally committed to swim for Queens University of Charlotte beginning in the fall of 2017. Andarza is a senior at Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, where she specializes in breaststroke and IM. She has competed in the 100 breast at the last three CIF-Southern Section division meets in a row.

Andarza swims year-round for Aquazot Swim Club. She competed in the 2016 American Short Course Championships in the 100/200 breast and 200/400 IM, earning best times in the 100m breast and 200m IM. Her best 100y breast time comes from 2016 CIF-SS Division II Championships in May.

  • 100 breast – 1:05.36
  • 200 breast – 2:26.76
  • 200 IM – 2:14.08
  • 400 IM – 4:41.35
  • 100 fly 1:02.19
  • 200 fly 2:20.39

Best LCM times:

  • 100 breast – 1:16.28
  • 200 breast – 2:46.15
  • 200 IM – 2:34.29
  • 400 IM – 5:23.72
  • 100 fly – 1:10.86
  • 200 fly – 2:37.20
