BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were recently named Scholar All-America teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester.
The Indiana women posted a 3.34 GPA for the spring semester, while the men came in with a 3.14 GPA.
Last semester the IU women finished second at the Big Ten Championships and went on to post a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Championships, led by a national title for Jessica Parratto in the women’s platform diving event.
The Hoosiers men finished third at the Big Ten meet in 2015 and were 12th at the NCAA Championships, including top-eight finishes in 1-meter diving, 200 freestyle, 3-meter diving, 800 freestyle relay and platform diving.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
