Antani Ivanov won all three butterfly events at the Bulgarian Short Course Championships in Sofia. His winning time also set new youth and senior records in all three events. Ivanov took the men’s 50 butterfly in a time of 23.96, the 100 butterfly in a time of 52.72 and the 200 butterfly in a time of 1:57.46.
Ivanov also set a new youth record in the 200 freestyle posting a time of 1:49.23.
Both Ivaniva Dobromira and Diana Petkova also set multiple records over the four day meet. Dobromira set seniors marks winning the women’s 50 butterfly in a time of 27.48 and the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:00.34. Petkova set new youth marks in both the women’s 100 butterfly posting a 1:03.24 and the women’s 100 IM finishing in a time of 1:03.88.
Petkova’s teammate Nina Rangelova won the women’s senior 100 IM setting a new national record taking the event in a time of 1:02.15.
Ventsislav Aydarski also set a new senior record in the men’s 800 freestyle splitting a time of 7:53.60 in the 1500 freestyle event.
