Jessica Long Breaks S8 400 Freestyle World Record Twice In One Day

Jessica Long has been on fire at the Can Am Para Swimming Championships held at the new Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, downing her own world record in the 400 free twice.

Long was a 4:41.62 in the prelims of the 400 freestyle which bettered her 4:42.28 record that she set at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. A solid two and a half years later, Long was able to take down the mark once more in finals.

Taking another big chunk off her newly established time, Long reached into the wall to better her prelim swim with a 4:40.44.

Long broke the 400 freestyle world record for the first time almost nine years ago back at the 2006 IPC World Championships.

Another good sign that NBAC is alive and well and kicking a__ . At least I think she’s still training there. Great swims!

How about the story of Ian Silverman being classed out of s-10 competition. Such a shame.
