JMU’s Pryne, Lehman Sweep Weekly CAA Women’s Swim & Dive Awards

RICHMOND, Va. – Sophomores Jess Pryne and Lexi Lehman were named Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week after stellar performances against Towson, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

Pryne and Lehman helped lead James Madison to a 188-110 victory against Towson and moved the Dukes to 4-1 on the season overall.

Pryne posted three individual first-place finishes, the only swimmer in the league to do so in the past week. She won the 200 Fly (2:06.45), the 500 Free (5:00.46) and the 200 IM (2:07.20).

Lehman took home a pair of top-three finishes, as she scored a 276.83 in the 3-meter board to place second and then placed third in the 1-meter board with a score of 264.15. Her score in the 1-meter was her best score all season.

The Dukes will be back in the pool when they face off in a dual meet with Richmond on Friday, January 28. The meet will take place in Richmond, Va. with diving beginning at 2 p.m. and swimming following at 4 p.m.
