Executive Director Role Summary
The Executive Director will be a liaison between our club members and the board/committees. They will assist in getting information out and relaying information to the board. They should have a strong knowledge of the registration process and will be in charge of registering and assisting new teams with this process. This is a full-time position and will include travel within the LSC as well as some travel within the Zone.
We would expect the new Director to support us as we reach new levels of success and serve the athletes, coaches, volunteers of Georgia Swimming. This position will focus on magnifying the impact of our volunteers as we serve our athletes and grow our sport.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Become knowledgeable to carry out the established policies, goals and objectives of Georgia Swimming.
● Works with Age Group and Senior Committees to establish and implement development camps in the LSC
● Is the main point of contact and “figurehead” for the LSC. Must attend 4 championship meets (SCY and LCM Senior and Age Group State).
● Will be the LSC representative traveling with the Age Group Zone team.
● Offers support for clubs within the LSC, including but not limited to, parent education and
coaching resources (through ASCA and USA-Swimming)
● Have a clear understanding of the LSC Policy and Procedures
● Secure sponsorship opportunities
● Maintain organization records and top performer lists, track member credentials, oversee
awards and recognitions
● Work with the Chairpersons of the various committees are actively conducting meetings,
events, camps, regional competitions, posting minutes and fulfilling their responsibilities.
● Managing organization’s events and travel.
● Attend required and recommended meetings provided by USA Swimming, Southern
Zones, local organization meetings, as well as those assigned by the board.
● Ensure the website is visually pleasing and up to date. Keep current documents, links, calendar, news, etc.
● Work with the Athlete Committee to address athletes’ needs in the LSC and keep reps in line with LSC Policy
● Act as Registrar for LSC, including running meet RECONS
Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s Degree
● Be entirely familiar with the registration process, stay informed about changes to the
process, and serve as the Registrar
● Skilled in the use of MS Office products, SWIMS 3.0, Team Unify, Team Manager, Meet
Manager, or the capacity to learn new software quickly
This will be a full time salaried position with a salary range of $65,000-$75,000 ; Pay dependent on experience and benefits package. Paid travel within the LSC will be regular. Salary will be based on the amount of paid travel required.
