MULTIPLE COACH POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT PSL IN PACIFICA

PSL is seeking qualified, enthusiastic people to work with one or more of our many practice groups:

  • AGE GROUP COACH – Lead or assist with PSL’s young group athletes (14 & Under) whose practices are geared toward long-term development, competition preparedness, team building and fun!
  • DEVELOPMENTAL COACH – Lead or assist with PSL’s newest athletes whose practices are geared toward fundamental skill development, age group practice preparedness and fun!
  • DRYLAND COACH – Assist with or lead the development and growth of PSL’s dryland program. Emphases include, but are not limited to: body awareness, health & flexibility, core strength, strength development, speed & dexterity, explosiveness, mental training, dryland for all age groups.
  • FILM AND ADMIN STAFF – PSL seeks assistance with developing its use of video feedback for athletes and administrative tasks such as member and website management.

Individual staff members may be assigned multiple roles depending on qualification, need and availability.

QUALIFICATIONS All PSL staff must be fully USA Swimming certified. PSL staff benefit from a team-first mindset, strong in-person and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

PRACTICE LOCATION PSL practices are held at an indoor, 10-lane facility in Pacifica, CA near Hwy 1, I-280, Skyline Blvd and is easily accessible from San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, South San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, and the rest of the North end of the peninsula.

TIME Practice times are 4:00-7:00pm from May-January and 4:30-7:30pm February-April. Some practice groups hold practices on weekends and weekday mornings. Coaches are expected to be available for weekend swim meets 1 or more sessions per meet. New staff members may be eligible for shifts as much as 6 days per week 2-3.5 hours per day or as little as twice per week 1.5 hours per day.
