ASU freshman Jonny Kulow has had a breakout season with the Sundevils. After making significant relay contributions at NCAAs as well as placing 11th individually in the 100 free, Kulow fired off a 48.7 100m free at the Sun Devil Open to put himself in contention to make the world champs team. Although that didn’t end up coming to fruition, Kulow made the most of his racing opportunities at the US Pro Championships, placing 3rd in the 100 free and 100 fly as well as 6th in the 50 free.
Most suburbs stopped building LC pools in the late 90s and 2000s and replaced aging ones with 25 yard plus water park lazy driver and zero depth.
He is still way underrated. I expect him to make the team on the relay
Not being able to train long course is a legitimate problem for many people particularly in the north
Also a problem in the south, I don’t train in a long course pool either. We only have 5 LC pools in the whole state of Louisiana
Agreed. It’s quite pathetic that we have such poor pool access in Louisiana.
Jonny is going to be one to watch in the coming year. He has natural ability, has great coaching, and is putting in the hard work needed to reach higher.
