Kalamazoo wins 5 of 8 events at MIAA Relays

The Kalamazoo College women’s swimming team won five of the eight events at the MIAA Relays at the Holland Aquatic Center on Saturday.

No team scores are kept at this event.

Kalamazoo Event Winners:
200 Medley (Christina Park, Jessica Varana, Colleen Orwin, Tristyn Edsall) – 1:51.61
200 Backstroke (Lexi Ambs, Christina Park, Miranda Doepker, Tristyn Edsall) – 1:53.69
200 Breaststroke (Mikayla Doepker, Jessica Varana, Ellen Neveux, Colleen Orwin) – 2:11.62
200 Butterfly (Miranda Doepker, Hannah Olsen, Zoe Bowman, Colleen Orwin) – 1:51.90
400 Medley (Christina Park, Lexi Ambs, Monica Gorgas, Colleen Orwin) – 4:17.42

Kalamazoo finished second in the 500 Freestyle Relay (Edsall, Olsen, Miranda Doepker, Orwin – 4:52.43) and the 200 Freestyle Relay (Olsen, Miranda Doepker, Burnett, Edsall – 1:42.59).

Kalamazoo opens the dual meet season against Olivet College at home next Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.
