Katharine Berkoff Looking to Add the 100m Free to her Event Repertoire

2023 PRO SWIM SERIES – WESTMONT

Video captured by Barry Revzin.

Katharine Berkoff blasted a 27.40 50 back for the win last night in Westmont, less than .3 off of her US Open and American record from a year ago. The backstroke specialist is excited to be back swimming long course after a successful short course season.

Berkoff joined Regan Smith as the only 2 women under 1:00 in the 100 back in prelims this morning but was ultimately DQ’ed for a 15m violation. She still has the 100 free prelim left tomorrow morning (before she heads home early), an event she is excited to test the waters in ahead of World Championship trials in June.
