2024 PARIS SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES

WOMEN’S 200 BACKSTROKE – FINAL

  1. Kaylee McKeown (Australia) – 2:03.73 (Olympic Record)
  2. Regan Smith (United States) – 2:04.26
  3. Kylie Masse (Canada) – 2:05.57

  7. Honey Osrin (Great Britain) – 2:08.16
  8. Anastasiya Shkurdai (Individual Neutral Athletes) – 2:10.23

Australia ki Kaylee McKeown ne aaj raat 200 backstroke mein naya Olympic Record set kiya. McKeown ne 2:03.73 ka time register kiya, jo pehle ka Olympic Record 2:04.06 ko tod diya jo Missy Franklin (USA) ne 2012 London Olympics mein set kiya tha.

McKeown World Record holder hain aur Tokyo mein is event ki defending Olympic Champion bhi thi. Ab woh pehli swimmer hain jo back-to-back dono backstroke events jeetne ka record bana rahi hain—Tokyo mein 100 aur 200 backstroke dono jeete aur ab Paris mein bhi dono events jeet kar yeh achievement kiya.

SPLIT COMPARISON

MCKEOWN 2024 FRANKLIN- 2012
50 29.17 29.53
100 31.35 30.97
150 31.36 31.66
200 31.85 31.9
2:03.73 2:04.06

McKeown ne pehle 100 meters mein Franklin ke jaise hi time dikhaya, lekin finishing strong kiya, jahan 3rd 50 meters mein sabse zyada difference dekha gaya—McKeown yahan 0.30 seconds tezi se finish hui.

200 backstroke McKeown ka aaj raat ka pehla event tha. Uske baad, woh 200 IM ke semifinals bhi swim karegi jo session ke end mein hoga.
