Keenan Robinson Joins Bowman at Arizona State

Arizona State University’s new Head Coach, Bob Bowman, will be taking another North Baltimore Aquatic Club (NBAC) native with him to Tempe.  Former NBAC Director of Athlete Services, Keenan Robinson, has been announced as ASU’s new Head of High Performance Services for Aquatic Sports.

Robinson’s career is coming to a full circle of sorts, as he started out professionally as a graduate assistant trainer with ASU track for a seven month period back in 2004.  Robinson then was hired on at the University of Michigan where the performance specialist oversaw the Wolverines’ dryland program under Bowman as head coach.  He was on staff as the Michigan men’s swimming program’s Chief Athletic Trainer when the squad won the National Championship Title in 2013.

Robinson was also the head trainer for the U.S. Olympic swim team for the 2012 Games. When Bowman returned to NBAC, so followed Robinson, where he took on the role of Director of Athlete Services in 2013 and has been in the position since.

Robinson will begin his new position for the Sun Devils after this month’s U.S. Nationals. He joins already-announced ASU staff members Ryan Mallan (Associate Head Coach), Misty Hyman (Senior Assistant Coach) Dan Kesler (Assistant Coach) and Tim Hochradel (Director of Operations).

This post is inaccurate. BB and KR met at UoM, then KR followed him to NBAC post-Beijing. KR never worked for NBAC prior to 2008.

Behike56 – I reworded the piece to take out the connotation Robinson had worked at NBAC prior to 2008. Thanks for the heads up.
