February 9, 2024 – Lewisburg, PA – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the February edition of the Division III Top 25 dual meet poll. The Kenyon men and Denison women have maintained their top positions in the most recent polls of 2024
The committee, consisting of Division III coaches, assesses and ranks the nation’s top 25 dual meet teams. Their evaluation takes into account head-to-head dual meet outcomes, performances since the last rankings, season-long performances, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It’s important to note that the poll’s objective is not to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.
On the men’s side, the Kenyon Owls (475) remain at the top of our polls for a third consecutive month. Emory (456) and Chicago (437) come in at second and third respectively in back-to-back polls. Tufts (409) makes the most significant jump from 13th to the top five after securing a victory over tenth-ranked MIT, while Denison (407) rounds out the top five. NYU moved up three spots back into the top 10, while Connecticut College rose from 23rd to 18th. Swarthmore (21st) moves back into the top 25, while Ithaca makes their season debut at 24th. Twenty-seven teams received votes.
For the women, Denison maintains a strong grasp on the top spot with 398 points. While Emory (378) edged out Kenyon (376) to keep the top three the same as January. Williams comes in at fourth after recent meet wins over MIT (fifth), NYU (sixth), and Middlebury (19th). UW-Eau Claire (25th) makes their way back into the top 25. Twenty-nine teams received votes this month.
*All votes were collected before the start of Conference Championship meets.
