Cook is fairly versatile; she’s a strong sprint butterflier who can put up impressive backstroke speed and complement that with sprint free range.

Cook finished 6th in the 100 fly and 10th in the 200 free at the 2015 IHSA State Championships last November. In addition, she split 23.73 and 51.86 in the 200 and 400 free relays, respectively, though neither relay qualified for finals.
Cook is a huge pickup for Kenyon— she’s fast enough for NCAC ‘A’ finals in the 100 fly, both backstrokes, and the 200 free. Additionally, she would’ve been Kenyon‘s fastest finisher in the 100 fly at conference, as well as the 2nd-fastest overall in the 200 back.
As a strong freestyler, Cook could feasibly make her way onto 400 and 800 free relays right off the bat as a freshman, especially with sprinters Haley Townsend and Hannah Lobb graduating this past season along with Jenner McLeod graduating after this season.
