Louisville, Kentucky USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Hunter Tapp announced via social media that he has committed to swim for North Carolina State University beginning in 2019-20. He will join Noah Bowers, Noah Henderson, and Ross Dant in the class of 2023.
“I’m very excited to announce my commitment to North Carolina State University to further my academic and athletic careers. Thanks to my parents and coaches for helping me every step of the way. I’m very excited to join the Wolfpack Family! #GoPack?”
A USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, Tapp swims for Louisville’s Trinity High School and Lakeside Swim Team. In club swimming with Lakeside, Tapp finished 15th in the 200 free and won the C final of the 100 free at Winter Juniors East. Last summer at NCSA Summer Championship he finished 5th in the 100 free, 11th in the 50 free, 14th in the 100 back, 19th in the 50 back, and 27th in the 200 back.

Hunter is currently a Junior, the record was from Sophomore year – seems just a typo in the article – Outstanding young man!
So which year is he? Collegeswimming.com says he’s a junior this year, while the story says he’s a senior.
uhh.. Junior not a senior…
Article says he broke his own record in 2017 when he was a Junior
He is a junior and will be joking the class of 2019.
