Kieran Smith, Zoie Hartman Headline SEC Weekly Honors

Men’s Swimmer of the Week: Kieran Smith, Florida
Florida’s Kieran Smith, a sophomore from Ridgefield, Conn., won two individual events in the Gators’ win over No. 14 Georgia. Smith posted a B-cut time in the 200 free of 1:34.08, the fastest time in the nation in the event. He placed first in the 100 fly with a 47.90, tying for the 18th fastest time in the nation. Smith was also a part of the winning 400 winning relay (2:57.06/43.55).

Men’s Diver of the Week: Anton Down-Jenkins, South Carolina
South Carolina’s Anton Down-Jenkins, a sophomore from Wellington, New Zealand, swept both springboard events versus North Carolina. Down-Jenkins matched his career-high score on the 3-meter of 437.55, outpacing the field by 68 points. He took home the gold in the 1-meter with a score of 354.75, edging out the competition by 27 points.

Men’s Freshman of the Week: Harry Homans, Georgia
Georgia’s Harry Homans, a freshman from Barrington, R.I., tallied 15 points against No. 9 Florida. Homans touched the wall first in the 200 fly at 1:46.71, the 14th fastest time in the nation. He took second in the 200 back with a time of 1:46.03, the 17th fastest time in the nation, and fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:50.91.

Women’s Swimmer of the Week: Zoie Hartman, Georgia
Georgia’s Zoie Hartman, a freshman from Danville, Calif., won three individual events with a trio of B-cut times against No. 1 Florida. Hartman swam the third fastest time in the nation to win the 100 breaststroke (1:00.28) and the 20th fastest time nationally in the 200 breaststroke (2:12.77). She also swam the seventh fastest time in the nation in the 200 IM (1:58.80). Hartman anchored the 400 free relay squad (3:22.71/50.50) that took second place.

Women’s Diver of the Week: Aimee Wilson, LSU
LSU’s Aimee Wilson, a sophomore from Calgary, Canada, scored a season-best 344.85 on the 3-meter springboard against SMU, winning the event by over 58 points. Wilson was runner-up in the 1-meter with a final score of 274.10.

Women’s Freshman of the Week: Niamh Robinson, LSU
LSU’s Niamh Robinson, a freshman from Darwen, Great Britain, swept the breaststroke events against SMU. Robinson posted career-best times in the 100 (1:03.05) and the 200 (2:13.96). She was also a part of the winning 400 medley relay for the Tigers.
