Congrats! I have had the pleasure of racing next to Gregory and meeting his entire family. He has two other brothers that are very fast, too! The entire family is a class act and I wish him the best success!

A great pick-up no doubt, but I find it weird to have a headline of “Kimani Gregory Becomes 5th Member of our 2019 Top-20 to Verbal to NC S” when he wasn’t in the top 20. So there are 25 swimmers in the top 20 these days- Grade inflation!! I know the article then mentions he was honorable mention.

Not to mention they are counting another HM in that group… so its 3 in top 20, but 5 in the top 25… which is still incredible… just dont over inflate.

At 20.4 and 43.7 for the freestyle, he’s either overdue for a drop in the 50 or he’s got a beastly 200 in him.

On the same note, looking at his 100 times, there’s no way he should be 1:53 in the IM. Let him swim it at a taper meet, coach!

I think it’s the opposite. He doesn’t seem to have middistance speed in him. 151 2fly is not anywhere in the realm of 48 1fly… I’m thinking he is a speed demon but hasn’t put together a good enough 50 yet.

he’s dropped 1.11s in the 50 and 3.64 in the 100. Definitely has a lot of raw speed and is probably due for a sub 20 before he gets there
