The LA Current have added an additional 8 swimmers to their roster for the 2021 ISL season.
Although the rosters were initially announced after the end of the free agency period, the updated team rosters on the ISL website feature several swimmers who previously went unannounced.
LA Current Roster Additions
- Imogen Clark (Great Britain)
- Brett Pinfold (USA)
- Christopher Rothbauer (Austria)
- Hector Cruz (Mexico)
- Ingrid Wilm (Canada)
- Kotryna Teterevkova (Lithuania)
- Lani Pallister (Australia)
- Vladyslav Bukhov (Ukraine)
The biggest names that the Current added are Australian Lani Pallister and Lithuanian Kotryna Teterevkova.
Pallister, a World Junior champion, specializes in the distance freestyle events. Although she will not be able to contest some of her strongest events in the ISL format, Pallister will be a welcome addition to the team for the 400 freestyle, which recently adopted a jackpot points system. Pallister is also a decent 200 freestyler, so she may be used in that event as well.
Teterevkova, in comparison, specializes in the breaststroke events. She competed at the recent 2020 Olympic Games, ultimately making it to the semi-finals of the women’s 100 breaststroke. Like Pallister, Teterevkova was a force on the Junior level, winning the European Junior Championship title in the 100 breaststroke in 2018. She also won a bronze medal in the 200 breaststroke at the same meet. Given the popularity of breaststroke skins races last season, Teterevkova could see multiple opportunities to contribute to the team’s points total.
Clark is another name to watch for, as she competed for Energy Standard both last season and in 2019. Like Teterevkova, Clark is also a breaststroker, having won a silver medal in the 50 breaststroke at the 2018 European Championships. Clark will be one of the most seasoned ISL veterans on this team, as she competed in the finals 2 years in a row.

How come no Chinese swimmers are in the ISL? Because I’d day Zhang and Xu would be a good addition
Does ISL value distance swimming ? I just think their focus is more sprints because that’s more exciting for their tv viewers
I would think so, I didn’t even watch anything over 200 (besides Ledecky/Titmus’s 400) during the Olympics.
Then you missed some of the best races of the competition.
You wouldn’t have watched Margalis in the 400 IM if she qualified?
And both struggling . Let’s hope this gives them a lift .
Madi and Matt Wilson both from Australia.😊
