LEN Renews Contract With the European Broadcasting Union

The European Swimming League (LEN) has negotiated a new contract with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to cover events held from 2017-2020. LEN will work with the EBU exclusively to broadcast the European Swimming Championships, European Short Course Championships and the European Water Polo Championships across all platforms.

There is an option of a further contract for another four years to last from 2020 to 2024 which can be exercised in 2017.

LEN and the EBU had virtually the same agreement from 2013-2016.

In 2013 FINA also entered into a partnership with the EBU for the European media rights to the 2015 and 2017 World Championships as well as the 2014 and 2016 World Short Course Championships.

The European Broadcasting Union is made up of 85 national media organizations in and around Europe.
