Condor’s GM Jason Lezak along with World record-holder Kelsi Dahlia and American record-holder Justin Ress sat down with SwimSwam to digest the ISL final. Cali was the defending champions from 2020 and came up just short of their 2nd team title, losing to Energy Standard in a back-and-fourth match by just 12 points.
So they can show the relay replay so they can validate the DQ but they won’t DQ Shymanovich which everyone can see his dolphin kicks every stroke. Interesting.
Let’s face it. Lilly King cost Cali the win. If she hadn’t been DQ’ed for an illegal turn (she also got DQ’ed for that same reason in the 200 BR at 2019 Worlds), Cali would have been the first ever repeat of the ISL.
She didn’t do a illegal turn, it was a wrong call
Dahlia: “I think we were the best team on the day” really says it all. Diplomatic haha
I mean, she’s absolutely right. Cali DID swim better and DID score more points.
I feel for them, but surely this kind of thing is unpredictable with the same guy owning both one of the teams and the entire league?
If Jerry Jones owned the whole NFL, I’d back the Cowboys to to win the Super Bowl.
I beg to differ…Even if Jerry Jones owned NFL he would still find the way to screw his team up
America mad = Energy bad
Congrats to the Cali Condors on winning their second title.
