There u go
I am not a fan of Lilly King, but I will definitely support her talking about breaking the world records in the 50m and 100m breast. First of all, every athlete is different and what motivates and brings out the best in one athlete may not be the same for another. Elite athletes are always looking for a bigger challenge, and when someone is in range of being the best ever (i.e. setting a world record), then the allure of that distinction is incredibly powerful, especially for those with a highly competitive nature. Thoughts and words are “energy”, and when you put thoughts and words out into the universe that focus on what you want to achieve, that is just… Read more »
This girl is arrogant. Unfortunately she will lose fans for this. Stay humble and earn respect.
What you guys maybe didn’t hear is her post race interview in Atlanta right after she won the 100. It’s one thing saying you want a World Record. Someone as good as her it’s not unrealistic and seems like a fair thing to shoot for. However, after her race in Atlanta she said: “I’m looking forward to breaking the world records in the 50 and 100 this summer.” There’s a fine line between being confident and arrogant and Lilly King is definitely the latter. You might truly believe you train harder than anybody else but you don’t say it. It’s not only arrogant but disrespectful to every other swimmer, whether a team mate or a direct competitior. Stay confident but… Read more »
Personally, I hope to see Ruta back on form. King seems to have totally written her off
Katie Ledecky and Missy Franklin are the only USA women swimmers with an individual world record.
Lilly is ambitious to try to get the WR in the 100 breaststroke. It’s going to take a big swim to get it.
Maybe Yulia will help spur her on in Budapest. Especially if the Finger Wave thing starts up again.
Lilly king trains harder than everyone else as she says.
Phelps at his peak has nothing in her. Adam peaty with his monster breaststroke world records has nothing in her. Michael phelps and Adam peaty,s training regimen are a piece of cake compared to Lilly king.
She,s gonna swim 1:02 in the 100 breast because she trains harder than everyone else. Mark my words. You heard it here first.
I really don’t understand the backlash on here against her. She works extremely hard and does things the right way.
Ambitious goals are exciting. While you don’t always hit the target putting it up high adds to motivation. If you set goals you always attain, then they are too low. Yes, an olympic gold medalist should be aiming for world records.
She must stay focus on her swims not anything like that
That is How SHE stays focused on her swims.
