Ari-Pekka Liukkonen of Finland had an outstanding second day at the Espoo Grand Prix this weekend recording the third fastest 50 freestyle in 2015.
Liukkonen took the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.99 which puts him behind Florent Manaudou (21.71) and Bruno Fratus (21.91) in the world rankings.

His time was only six one-hundredths of a second off his lifetime best and national record time of 21.93.
Liukkonen was also part of the Cetus Espoo 4 x 50 medley relay team that won broke the Scandinavian record in the event posting a 1:39.52. Liukkonen anchored the relay with an impressive split of 21.01.

- Tuomas Pokkinen (Butterfly) – 23.69
- Ari-Pekka Liukkonen (Freestyle) – 21.01
