Live: Pan Am Games Opening Ceremonies As it Happens

The 2015 Pan American Games will officially kick off when the torch is lit at the opening ceremonies. The opening ceremonies are being held at the Rogers Centre, home of the Toronto Blue Jays, performed by the Canadian circus art group Cirque Du Soleil. There will be a total of 625 performers, 569 of which are from Toronto.

To follow along with the action of the opening ceremonies including pictures from the media viewing area along with a description of the event, continue to refresh this page as it will be updated while the ceremonies are going.

The pool swimming portion of the Pan Am Games will run July 14-18. Open Water swimming will start July 11th with the women’s race, the men’s will take place on the 12th.
