Texas swept the season’s first Big 12 swimming & diving weekly awards. For the men’s honors, Drew Kibler picked up swimmer of the week while Jordan Windle was selected diver of the week. Women’s awards went to swimmer Kelly Pash and diver Bridget O’Neil.

In the First Chance Invitational, Kibler won the 500 free in a time of 4:08.26, narrowly missing the pool & school record (4:08.19) set by Townley Haas. It was well below the NCAA “A” cut standard (4:11.82). He also posted an NCAA “A” cut time in the 200 free win the following day (1:31.10). In the dual meet win vs. No. 7 Texas A&M, Kibler won the 200-yard free and 100-yard free, and swam the anchor leg on the winning 400-yard medley relay.

Windle dominated the competition in the first dual meet of the year against No. 7 Texas A&M. He posted a six-round score of 438.15 points to claim the win on the 1-meter board, easily outdistancing the runner-up finisher (350.10). Windle also registered a six-round score of 456.90 points to earn the victory on the 3-meter springboard, again well in front of the second-place finisher (410.18).

Pash registered three individual wins to lead No. 8 Texas to a dual meet victory against No. 17 Texas A&M. She won the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.42), 100-yard freestyle (49.53) and the 200-yard IM (1:58.75). Earlier, she posted NCAA “B” cut times in the 200-yard IM (1:58.22) and 400-yard IM (4:08.45) at the Dust Off Your Boots Invitational.

In her collegiate dual meet opener against No. 17 Texas A&M, O’Neil won the 1-meter board with a score of 325.35 points and placed second on the 3-meter springboard (358.20). She also earned first place finishes in the Dust Off Your Boots Invitational on both the 1-meter (320.20) and 3-meter (337.35) boards.
