LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville swimmers Tristen Ulett and Dalton Lowe have been named as ACC Swimmers of the Week.
With four wins, Lowe helped the men to a 172-128 win over Notre Dame in South Bend on Friday. In the 200 Medley relay, Dalton Lowe (21.61), Denis Petrashov (24.29), Haridi Sameh (20.77) and Michael Eastman (19.62) combined forces to post the winning time of 1:26.29, a time that ranks No. 16 nationally. Lowe was the winner in the men’s 100 backstroke with a time of 47.15 for the Cardinals. That time ranks 21st nationally and is an NCAA B cut. He won the men’s 100 fly with a time of 46.46 for his third win of the meet with that swim ranking No. 12 nationally for a B-cut. He was a part of the Louisville men winning the 400 Free relay in a time of 2:53.35 put up by Abdelrahman El-Araby (44.15), Murilo Sartori (42.88), Dalton Lowe (43.22) and Michael Eastman (43.10), that time ranks No. 8 nationally/
Ulett helped the Cardinals to a 191-102 win over Notre Dame in South Bend, winning three individual events. She won the 200 freestyle (1:48.39) by a full second ahead of the field. She got her second sprint victory with a win in the 100 freestyle in 50.03 winning by full second. She led the Cards to the top two spots for the sweep in the 200 IM with a winning time of 2:01.89.
