BATON ROUGE – The LSU Men’s Swimming and Diving Team posted a perfect score of 100 in the most recent Graduation Success Rate released by the NCAA.

Along with the men’s team, five other LSU sports scored a perfect 100. Those teams include men’s tennis, softball, women’s golf, women’s tennis, and volleyball.

“It’s what we do here,” said LSU head swim coach Dave Geyer. “Bottom line is that the student-athletes in our program are coming here to get an education first and foremost. Our Athletic Department and University provides so many resources for our athletes in and out of the pool to find success. This is concrete evidence of a great system of moving parts to aide our student-athletes.”

“This is a tremendous accomplishment which we are very proud of,” said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. “It is challenging to balance academics with athletics but we always stress the importance of academics and most importantly earning degrees. It is very rewarding to achieve a 100 on the most recent GSR.”
