At the Pro Swim Series in Westmont, Olympic champion Lydia Jacoby walked away with town wins in the 50 and 100 breast over a stacked field. This is her first season training long course meters on a regular basis and it seems to already be paying off. Even though she “doesn’t entirely know how to swim a 50” yet and is working on confidence in the 200, the NCAA champ seems to be making great strides in her range of events.
At least the University of Texas incorporates a 50 meter pool.
Bit of news Jake foster announced he’s taking a one year deferment from med school to attempt to make the Olympic team next year.
Sure seems like she knows. Its interesting how different stroke styles are in breaststroke.
She has a nice low breaststroke with an amazing last 15 meters.
When she breaks her first WR (she’s just as likely as anyone active in the 100/200), she’ll be quoted as mussing
“I don’t entirely know how to swim slow”
Paris watch out
