Maccabi USA Appoints Swim Coaches For The 20th Maccabiah Games

Rick Ehrlich, Overall Swim Chairman for the 20th World Maccabiah Games USA Organizing Committee is proud to announce the appointments of the USA Open and Juniors Swim Coaches. Adam Epstein, Head Coach at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, FL, and Doug Markoff, Coach at the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club in Rockville, MD will coach the Open Swim Team. Lauren Greenberg, Coach at South Metro Swim Club in Prior Lake, MN and Marshall Goldman, Head Coach at Tennessee Aquatics in Knoxville, TN will coach the Juniors Swim Team.

“We have put together a first class coaching staff and I am looking forward to working with our coaches,” Ehrlich said, “I know our swimmers will benefit from the guidance our coaches will provide.” The Open and Juniors Swim team members will be part of the overall USA Team that will be 1,200+ members strong.

Maccabi USA is looking for qualified Jewish athletes to represent Team USA in Swimming at the 20th World Maccabiah Games in the following divisions: Juniors Girls (Born 2001-2004) & Boys (Born 2001-2003), Open Men & Women (ages 18-35), Masters Men and Women (age 35+) and Paralympic (age 18+). The deadline to apply is December 18, 2016.

The 20th World Maccabiah Games are the world’s third largest international sporting event and will consist of over 9,000 athletes from 75 countries participating in 42 different sports. To learn more about the sports and age divisions offered, please visit our website.

The Maccabiah Games is more than an international sporting competition; it is a celebration of Jewish culture, unity and pride. ISRAEL CONNECT, Maccabi USA’s unique cultural and educational program takes place for seven days prior to the start of the Games. All Juniors, Youth, Open and Paralympic athletes participate in the program where they have the opportunity to tour historical and religious sites, take part in cultural identity seminars and train with their teams, all while developing lifelong relationships.
