Madeline Snow Commits To Providence College

Madeline Snow, a senior at Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Connecticut, has verbally committed to swim for Providence College. She will stay close to home next fall, joining the Friars for the 2015-2016 season.

Snow represents the Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club, specializing in freestyle and I.M. events. As a junior, she placed 79th in the 400 Free, 79th in the 400 I.M., 103rd in the 200 Free, and 78th in the 200 Fly at the 2014 YMCA Long Course National Championships.

While Snow did not swim best times in every event during her junior season, she did improve her 400 I.M. by two seconds and 1650 Free by five seconds. With her current best times, Snow will have an immediate impact on the Friars. She would currently score in the 500 Free (B Final), 400 I.M. (B Final), 200 Free (B Final), and the 1650 Free at the Big East Conference Championships. Her 200 Free time may earn her a spot on the 800 Free Relay as well. The Friars have gained a valuable swimmer, who will help them improve their standing in the Big East Conference.
