Mary-Sophie Harvey Swam a 200 Breast-100 Fly-200 IM Triple in 30 Minutes at Westmont

2025 TYR Pro Swim Series — Westmont

Canadian Olympian Mary-Sophie Harvey used the Pro Swim Series stop in Westmont as a training meet, and boy, did she get some good training in. Competing on the last night of competition, Harvey swam back-to-back-to-back events all in the span of 30 minutes. One could even argue she got better as she went, placing 3rd in the 200 breast, 4th in the 100 fly, and 2nd in the 200 IM.

I think having a heavy schedule, tells you how your training is going. I train long for big meets Did 10 events in 2 days at a states masters meet(ranging from 50-800). Those carbs( beers) and real steaks got me through . It’s about enjoying swimming by having fun.

Serious question. If Michael Andrews does this, does his combined time beat Mary-Sophie?

I swam at a masters meet years ago that was inexplicably maybe 1/3 the size it usually was. I did the 200 fly, 500 free, and 200 back in just under 45 minutes. Needless to say, as a slightly above average masters swimmers on my best day, that was nowhere near my best 200 back of the season.

My hat’s off to her!

I’m doing a meet in Australia next week. Day one I have 200 free, 50 back, 200IM, 50 free, 100 br and 400 free all within 53 minutes. Day two I have 100 free, 50 br, 100 back, 50 fly and 800 free all within 42 minutes. I’m nearly 55 – at this stage hoping to just survive lol.

One time I swam the 500, into the 400 IM & about 45 minutes later the 200 fly. The announcer called it the devils double at the 400IM & didn’t even know what to say with the 200 fly final. I’m actually the reason they changed the format of the midseason they said the next years: All that bragging to say: major respect to this tough lady. It was one thing to do it as an average d2 swimmer a whole other thing to do it as a professional. Way to crush it and show others some incredible toughness!

Iron Lady 2.0. Didn’t she have similarly tough schedules in the World Cup circuit as well?
