WHAT THE COACHES ARE SAYING

Utah Head Coach Joe Dykstra

“This should be a very exciting weekend at the Ute Natatorium.  Starting with a Pac-12 Women’s dual with Oregon State, we will have our work cut out for us.  OSU has a reigning Pac-12 champion and while not one of the deepest teams in the league, they have some very good front line talent and a coach who I have an inordinate amount of respect for. Saturday we have our annual rivalry meet with BYU, who have been getting better and better all season and will give us a really tough match-up.  We also will be recognizing our 5 seniors on the women’s team as this will be their last competition at home.  I am so proud of all of their accomplishments and am looking forward to them having this moment of recognition.”

Utah Head Diving Coach Richard Marschner

“This is always a fun and intense meet for us.  The rivalry against BYU gives this a different feel than most meets and the big crowd makes it an exciting meet to dive in.  I know the team is really looking forward to it.”

UP NEXT

Following this weekend, the women’s squad will compete against Washington State on Friday, Feb.13 then take on Idaho the next day, Feb. 14. The men will take the week off but will return to competition Feb. 20-21 where they will take on USC at home.

The women’s Pac-12 Championships are set to begin Feb.25-28 while the men’s are set to begin Mar.4-7.
