According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 7.2-magnitude earthquake shook Mexico City at around 9:30 a.m. on Friday. It lasted about a minute, shaking buildings, statues, lampposts, and… swimming pools.
And you thought meet warmups were bad… how ‘bout these waves?
We would have gone a 5000 fly for time with t-shirts and sneakers on and snorkels, duct taped with just a pencil hole poked in it. Against the current both ways.
Uphill. In the snow.
Kids these days….
Back when I was swimming, practice wouldn’t have been cancelled for this nonsense. Heck, my coach probably would have made us do a test set or butterfly day. First, coaches get in trouble for making kids bear crawl, and now these spoiled brats get the day off cause of a lousy 7.2. Bunch of softies.
Thanks, Obama.
Wow. Amazing video. Mother Nature- SMASH
