Miami (OH) To Compete Against Ball State And At Ohio State Invite

Miami University’s swimming and diving squad will be competing in two places this week. The men will stay home and face Ball State on Saturday at 1 p.m. for senior day. A portion of the women’s team will head to Columbus for the Ohio State Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

The team’s last dual meet was last Saturday at Eastern Michigan. The women lost 185-115 and the men fell 188.5-110.5.

For the women, Pei Lin won two individual events, the three-meter dive and one-meter dive. In the three-meter, she won by a score of 380.18. Lin won with 314.32 points in the one-meter.

Nicholas Wukovits won both the 100-yard breaststroke (56.64) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.91) for the men.

Ball State is 4-5 on the season and has defeated Albion College, Tiffin, Eastern Illinois and Evansville. They have lost to Grand Valley State, IUPUI, Xavier, Eastern Michigan and Notre Dame. The Cardinals placed second out of eight teams in the Indiana Intercollegiate and third out of six teams in the Eastern Michigan Invitational earlier this season.
