MEET NOTES: Miami University swimming and diving faces Cincinnati Jan 10th

Miami University women’s swimming and diving team is back in the pool on Saturday, Jan. 10, to swim against Cincinnati at the Keating Aquatics Center at 1 p.m.

The RedHawks return to the water after winning their annual Miami Invitational over Toledo, Cincinnati, Emory, Denison, Wright State and Urbana. Miami looks to extend its dual meet record to 4-2 after a win over Butler on Nov. 8.

Miami was led by five first-place finishes from sophomore Elise Campbell, junior Aubrey Kluth, senior Stephanie Pearce, sophomore Stephanie LeMire and sophomore Taylor LeCount. The 200-yard medley relay team of sophomore Brittany Dudzinski, Lemire, junior Gabrielle Veri and senior Annie Marquiss ended up tying Emory for first place, with both teams clocking in at 1:42.78.

Cincinnati is now 1-3 in dual meets after a 178-142 loss to Georgia Tech on Dec. 20. The Bearcats also came in third in the Miami Invitational on Dec. 4-6, falling to Miami and Toledo. They also competed in a meet against Ohio State and Purdue on Oct. 24, where they finished last among the three teams. The Bearcats are led by first-year head coach Mandy Commons-DiSalle, who took over after four years as an assistant coach.
