I’m not MA’s biggest fan but jesus christ, let the man have his moment. 59.0 is really fast, whether you want to admit it or not, and he was probably just making a joke for the interview, y’all need to lighten up and get off his back.

Nobody is reading the article just the headline. He did mean Peaty’s record, NOT his World Record, but his Competition record, and he was close. Gee people read the article

I don’t see this happening BUT is it actually more plausible than MA fixing his freestyle to the point where he’s able to take the 200 IM world record? It just might be LOL

His 200IM is world class with WR potential. He knows what he has to do to make his armchair critics eat humble pie.

Well, one thing is Michael Andrew is a lot better butterfyer than Peatty. This makes it more difficult for Michael Andrew since unlike the typical breastsroker he can do IM, 100 fly and 50 free. Unlike Peatty he doesn’t just do one even.

Yeah! I think there should be a separate record category for the best breaststroker who can also swim butterfly. That way guys like Michael Andrew can be first place at something.

Doesn’t matter who you are, what meet it is, or what time of the season it is, 59.0 is very fast.

Didn’t he go 58.67 at the Indy PSS in May 2021, then why doesn’t he have the record already?

Yeah I’m confused about that. He also went 58.82 in prelims so he’s been under Peaty’s pro swim “record” twice
