Michael Phelps will be on TV tonight, this time not in the pool or behind a media desk. Phelps will be guest-starring on the hit TV show Suits on the USA Network as the one sports client legendary lawyer Harvey Specter could never land, and yes, he’s playing himself.

The show which follows the story of Harvey Specter and Mike Ross, two lawyers in New York City, will be on tonight at 9 eastern; a must watch for any swim-fan who wants to catch a glimpse of a fish out of water.

Swimmers have had quite a history of being behind the camera starting way back when five time Olympic gold medallist Johnny Weissmuller appeared in his first film, Glorifying the American Girl in 1929. His first major roll that he’s well known for was his roll of Tarzan. Weissmuller donned the famous Tarzan loin-cloth with the rockin’ swimming body look that everyone loves so much.

Ed Moses, who won an Olympic gold back at the Sydney Olympics in the 4x100m medley relay, stated in 2010 that he was going to be coming back to the sport. Moses started up the TV show ‘Against the Tide’ which played on Universal Sports. The five episode series featured him and his conquest to come back to the sport.

Most recently, Ryan Lochte made his television debut with the show ‘What Would Ryan Lochte Do?’ The program highlighted Lochte’s life and showed his jokester side that we’ve all gotten to know and love. The show was never renewed for a second season…but Lochte showed that he’s definitely made for television.

Phelps will have to live up to expectations tonight, playing a more serious role. Who knows, maybe a few years down the road we could see Phelps lined up to win eight Oscars in one evening.
