Michael Taylor used all his excused absences for swimming (Video)

Michael Taylor, a Dynamo senior who has committed to swim for the florida gators next fall, is one busy high schooler. Between this summers JR Pan Pacs, recruiting trips, and now Short Course Worlds, he admitted to swimswam Thursday night that all of his excused absences at school had been used up. That being the case, he has not been swimming individual events at Nationals, because instead of going to prelims he must attend school, rendering his performances solely to relay swims during the finals sessions’ at night.

Next week he will be in Windsor competing at his first International meet with the Senior National Team, and therefore will have UNEXCUSED ABSENCES (typically referred to as “truancies”). Not to fret. He told us that his teachers understand why he will not be present, and have worked with him so that he will be able to get all of his school work done while still competing for the Red, White and Blue.
