Chris Cornell of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, has committed to swim for the University of Delaware next fall. Cornell is a senior at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe and swims for Pointe Aquatics and Lochmoor Club.

“I knew that I wanted to attend the University of Delaware the second that I stepped on campus. The team and coaches will push me to succeed in and out of the pool, and that is the most important thing to find when choosing a school.”

Cornell swam for University Liggett during his freshman and sophomore years, and has been a 4-year varsity starter in lacrosse. At Delaware, he will likely swim breast and IM but he is versatile enough to fill in where needed. Cornell’s best times are:

100y breast: 58.33
200y breast: 2:11.11
200y IM: 2:01.65
50y free: 23.32
100y fly: 57.42
