Kailey DeLozier from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has announced her intention to swim for Seattle University. “I wanted to announce my verbal commitment to swim for Seattle University next year. I have just always loved the city but going into my tour, I had no idea what to expect. I was looking at the larger schools and Seattle is definitely not big. I went in with an open mind and ended up loving it. The coaches were so nice and the team was so inviting.”
DeLozier is a senior at Saint Louis Park High School in Minneapolis. She swam the 200/500 free double at the Minnesota MSHSL Girls A Swim & Dive Championships last fall, placing 7th in the 200 and 23rd in the 500. She anchored the Saint Louis Park 200 free relay (24.49) as well as the 400 free relay (53.28), helping the Orioles achieve a 12th-place team finish.
DeLozier swims year-round with Minnetonka Swim Club, specializing mainly in free and IM. She competed in the 50/100/200 free and 200 IM at both the short-course yards and long-course meters versions of the Minnesota Senior State Championships, adding the 200 breast to the spring version of the meet. Her top SCY times are:
- 50 free – 25.01
- 100 free – 53.44
- 200 free – 1:56.44
- 200 IM – 2:12.22
