Missouri State Swimming & Diving Finalizes Spring Schedule

SPRINGFIELD – Head men’s and women’s swimming and diving coach Dave Collins announced the upcoming 2021 spring schedule for the Bears Thursday, highlighted by one home meet for the women at Hammons Student Center (HSC) Pool.

“We are excited to finally release our meet schedule,” Collins said. “We have worked very hard to put together a set of meets that will provide our athletes with meaningful competition in the safest way possible. We look forward to making the most out of each opportunity with a goal of repeating as both Missouri Valley Conference and Mid-American Conference team champions.”

Kicking off the Bears’ 2021 spring schedule for both the men and women is a quick stop across town at rival Drury on Jan. 16.

The men continue the road campaign Jan. 22-23 at the Shamrock Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, in South Bend, Ind. The men will be traveling again the weekend after (Jan. 30) to the Lone Star State to face Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

The women will host Little Rock on Feb. 13 at HSC Pool in the lone home meet on the schedule.

The men and women will head north to Columbia, Mo., Feb. 27-28 for the Last Chance Meet at the University of Missouri.

The Bears begin March (5-6) at Southern Illinois for a conference dual matchup for the women. They wrap up the regular season (March 19-20) at Indiana State where the women will face the Sycamores and the men will go up against Xavier.

The Women’s NCAA Championships are March 17-20 in Greensboro, N.C. and the men’s NCAA Championships will be March 24-27. The location is yet to be announced.

The MAC Championships for the men will take place April 8-10 in Oxford, Ohio and the MVC Championships for the women will be in Carbondale, Ill., April 14-16.
