Missy Franklin and Tim Tebow are both Denver residents, and they share the same trainer. Now, they have another honor in common, as the pair were named the Colorado Amateur and Professional Athletes of the year, respectively, by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
Tim Tebow (somehow, someway) led the Broncos to a shocking playoff berth, and then through last-minute heroics carried the Broncos into the second round, setting off nationwide “Tebow-mania”.
Missy too has earned a similar national following after stamping her name on two World Records in the last two months of the year and taking home FINA World Swimmer of the Year honors.
In celebration of the award, Missy (who is a big Tebow fan) did her best impression of the star quarterback on the field at Mile High in Denver. Expect this picture to be making many appearances as Missy continues to rack up awards and commendations in her career.
