Swim Atlanta standout Emily Snyder used instagram this week to announce her verbal commitment to represent the Missouri Tigers in the fall of 2017.
Emily has shown consistent improvement in several events over the last few seasons. She has finished as high as fifth place at the Georgia 1-5A State Championship in the 100 breaststroke while representing Canton’s Creekview High School. In long course she placed 7th and 8th in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events respectively at the 2015 Georgia Senior Long Course State Championships, and has competed in both distances at Winter Junior Nationals East as well.
The University of Missouri has steadily climbed up the NCAA rankings under Greg Rhodenbaugh’s leadership with breaststroke being one of the Tigers’ consistent strengths. With the only breaststroker listed on his 2016-17 women’s roster being a Senior, SEC Champion and NCAA 4th place finisher Katharine Ross, the breaststroke events will be wide open for new recruits to immediately play an important role.
Emily’s best times:
