Arizona Gold Swimming’s Morgan Cramm-Tamisiea will be staying close to home when she goes off to college, as she’s just given her verbal commitment to swim for the Arizona State Sun Devils. She’ll head to Tempe after graduating from Coolidge High School at the end of this school year.
Cramm-Tamisiea is a freestyle specialist, with her event schedule ranging from the 50 free to 1650 free at her focus meets. Last season, she set new best times in each of the distance free races. At the 2016 Arizona Senior State Championships, she set those times at 5:06.37 in the 500 free, 10:26.52 in the 1000 free, and 17:30.67 in the 1650 free.
Cramm-Tamisiea’s Top Times:
Event | Best time |
50 free | 25.07 |
100 free | 54.41 |
200 free | 1:55.50 |
500 free | 5:06.37 |
1650 free | 17:30.67 |
When she starts at Arizona State, Cramm-Tamisiea’s biggest contribution will likely come in the mile. Her best time in that race is already fast enough to score for the Sun Devils at the Pac-12 Championships.
Having Cramm-Tamisiea on the roster will help ASU make up for the graduation loss of Anna Olasz, the 12th place finisher in the mile at 2016 Pac-12s. Olasz will be graduating at the end of this season.
