Reminder: The Weekly Wonders column is a celebration of age-group swimming, where new champions are made every day. Anyone can look up the top swims of the week. That’s not what we’re doing here. If we were only reporting on the week’s top swims we would feature the same handful of athletes every Wednesday. Instead, this is an opportunity to introduce the swimming community to athletes who have made great strides in the context of their own particular swimming worlds. By association, it also celebrates their coaches and their teams. The Weekly Wonders column, therefore, amounts to a pat on the back for a job well done, and hopefully encourages swimmers of all levels to continue to reach from within to get to that next level.

Congratulations to Penny! Her younger brother swam with my daughter until the end of short course season and he joined Penny at LBA. I Wish them both much success

Bigly time from Trever and deckpass has his best 100 back yards at 52 expect an insane time drop. Also is that 55.06 not his best time ever? If he has a faster time than that that would be ridiculous

Not to rain on the parade, but Trever’s time might of 55 might be wrong. I was very surprised to see such a fast time, looked up his times on USA Swimming, and found his best time is 1:05. Just to make doubly sure, I searched his name in Meet Mobile and found the same thing. I hope I’m wrong but it just seems funny

The 55.05 is from his 100 free, he didn’t swim the 100 back.
